Class Description
LEVEL IV BALLET – (9-13 yrs old) Approx -5th-8th graders. Students with experience wanting to solidify ballet technique and terminology in a classically disciplined and structured curriculum. Attire: Purple Leotard, pink tights, pink split sole ballet shoes.

LEVEL V/VI JAZZ – (12+) This class is for experienced students with a dance background who are wanting to excel and work on strength, flexibility, stamina, professionalism and to expand their skills. Ballet experience is a must. Attire: Black leotard, tan tights, dance shorts, tan jazz shoes.

LEVEL VI BALLET – (12+) Advanced students, solidifying ballet technique and terminology in a classically disciplined and structured curriculum. Attire: Black Leotard, pink tights, pink split sole ballet shoes. A teacher evaluation will be done for new students joining this class.

INT/ADV POINTE – (12+) By instructor’s approval – Pointe technique is the part of strong classical ballet technique that concerns pointe work, in which a ballet dancer supports all body weight on the tips of fully extended feet within pointe shoes. Attire: Black Leotard, pink tights, pointe shoes.

LEVEL III MUSICAL THEATRE – This class is for intermediate students wanting to dance and act while experiencing Broadway/movie style choreography. While learning the history behind what they learn. Attire: Any color leotard, tan tights, tan jazz shoes, dance shorts.

LEVEL III HIP HOP This class has a high level of playfulness and exploration through “move-meant” concepts and techniques. Moves that hold meaning and value, informed by personal, social, cultural, and environmental experiences. Hip-hop dance features multiple rhythms and movements. It is percussive, improvisational, where it engages the full body – neck, shoulders, arms, torso, rear end, hips, legs, knees, and feet. It is fluid, and the feet are flexed, not pointed. Attire: comfy baggy clothes able to move in, black hip hop sneakers.

Girls - any color leotard, tan tights, black hip hop sneakers - baggy dance cover ups & dance shorts are allowed

LEVEL I/II JAZZ – (5-8 yrs old) Approx -Kindergarten-3rd graders. Do you love to move to fast-paced music? What about making up your own moves as you go along? If so, jazz dance might be just the thing for you. Jazz dance is fast and fun. It uses upbeat music with kicks, leaps and turns to interpret traditional and not-so-traditional movements. Class Attire: Black leotard, tan tights, tan slip on jazz shoes.

Class Description
Creative Movement – 3-5 yrs. old. Beginners to dance. A 45 minute class. This fun and exciting class inspires creativity, teaches coordination, musicality, and the fundamentals of ballet. Students will develop coordination, strength, dance technique, rhythm, and body awareness in a caring, nurturing environment. This class is an excellent way for children to gain self-confidence, listening and learning skills and a sense of accomplishment.
Class Attire: Pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes.

Ages 9 & Under- This class is for students learning gymnastic technique along with strength and flexibility exercises. Acrobatic training teaches flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, and above all, discipline and concentration. The high degree of discipline and concentration required for gymnastics carries over too many aspects of a student’s life, including academics and other athletic performance.

SERIOUS DANCER – This 1.5 hour class is an essential class for serious students who want to see results and make constant progress in their dance training. This class offers an opportunity for students to add 1.5 hours of focus on developing increased flexibility, strength, dance technique and stamina every week. This class does not focus on choreography and does not rehearse a performance piece for recital.
